Privacy Policy

The short version

ZVIBE is a for-fun app that turns a photo into a playful scorecard. We take your privacy seriously: we do not store your scan photos. Your image is sent to an AI model to generate a score and then discarded — it is never saved to our servers or shown to anyone else. The one exception is Redesign Your Space (beta), which keeps your photo to build the before/after — see below.

Photos (scans)

When you scan, your photo is compressed on your device (which also removes location/EXIF data), sent securely to our AI provider (Anthropic) to produce a score, and then not retained. Only the resulting scorecard data (numbers, labels, a caption) is saved — never the image itself.

Redesign Your Space photos (beta)

Redesign Your Space works differently, because the whole point is a before/after of your space. When you run a redesign (logged-in users only):

• Your original photo is retained. It is compressed on your device (EXIF/location data removed) and stored in a private storage bucket that only your own logged-in account can access — it is never public, never linkable, and never shown to anyone else.
• A downscaled "before" copy and the AI-generated "after" image are stored publicly, because they power the result page and share card you can send to friends. Share the link only if you want people to see them.
• Your photo is sent to Google (Gemini) to generate the restyled image, and to Anthropic for a safety pre-check. If generation fails, the stored original is deleted and your credit refunded.

To have redesign photos deleted, email us (below) — account deletion removes them too.

Account data

If you sign up, we store your email (to log you in) and any optional profile details you add, like a username, city, or college for leaderboards. We use Supabase for authentication and data storage. We never sell your data.

Cookies & local storage

We use your browser's local storage to keep you logged in and to remember a random anonymous ID for guest scans and referrals. We do not run third-party advertising trackers.

Young users

ZVIBE is meant for a general audience and is entertainment only. Our "vibe check" never rates a person's appearance, body, or looks — only playful style and energy. If you are under the age where consent is required in your country, please use it with a parent or guardian. Explicit or unsafe images are automatically refused and never scored or stored.

Your rights

You can delete your account and associated data at any time by contacting us. To request deletion or ask a privacy question, email support@zvibe.app or DM @zvibeapp.
